We sincerely aim to create theater that is truly for everyone. We formed this company with a commitment to creating an environment of absolute and welcoming access for artists and audiences alike.

At the same time, we acknowledge that some of the locations in Sheffield where we present our work are historic venues and therefore not the most accessible. We are actively taking steps to remove any barriers to full access. We will attempt to be clear about any known access issues in individual event descriptions, and we will work with you to find solutions.

LIVE CAPTIONING

All Beekeepers performances are captioned. We stream directly to your personal device, such as a smartphone or tablet. If you are in need of borrowing a compatible device, please let us know before you arrive so that we can be sure to have a device available for you. Our captioning system allows for changing font color and size to accommodate guests with low vision.

SEATING

Thus far, we have presented our works in venues that allow for you to remain in your wheelchair for the performance. However, for guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we are more than happy to store your wheelchair during the performance. We will bring your wheelchair to you at intermission and the end of the performance. Please note that we often perform outdoors or in locations with flexible seating and these seats may not be the most comfortable options for transferring. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if you have specific seating needs so that we can be prepared to accommodate you.

PROGRAMS

Mindful of our environmental impact, we don’t always provide programs. When we do provide them, digital and physical programs will be available in large print formats.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are welcome without reservation, and can rest in your seating area. Animals must never block aisles or exits. Support animals not protected by the ADA may be permitted, depending on the venue. Please contact us in advance if you intend to bring a support animal that does not provide a service as outlined in the ADA.
